Exam Ethics Marshals International is a global non-governmental, not-for-profit membership organization of trained and certified ethics-friendly education stakeholders committed: to code of ethical self-regulation and discipline in their duty posts; to unwavering insistence on best practices in their spheres of operational and leadership influence; and to being models and mentors to pupils, students and colleagues. The Movement stands on three legs: Exam Ethics Marshals; Exam Ethics Students and Exam Ethics Friend and Partner Institutions.

The Marshal Movement is an outstanding success story in terms of mobilizing ethics-friendly education stakeholders to volunteer, bond and work together to promote best practices in admission, teaching, examination, certification, registration and regulation processes in education.

Exam Ethics Marshals International (EEMI) initiated partial online training of Marshals on 10th March, 2020 to enhance content and quality and drastically reduce time and cost of the training process to offer more ethics-friendly education stakeholders the opportunity to join in promoting  best practices in admission, teaching, examination, certification, registration and regulation processes in education.

The Marshal Movement is a big success story. We need to do more to bring more stakeholders to volunteer, bond and work together as we advance towards achieving the vision of planting and strengthening chapters of Exam Ethics Marshals and Exam Ethics Student Clubs in every primary, secondary and tertiary education institution in the world.

Our Mission

The specific mission of the Movement is to inspire ethics-friendly education stakeholders to bond and work individually and collectively as army of Exam Ethics Marshals, Students, and Institutions to promote ethics, integrity and best practices in education and combat exam malpractice, academic dishonesty and corruption in education.

Our Vision

The Exam Ethics Marshals Movement was founded on the vision of facilitating education systems capable of producing citizens, professionals and workforce with character to shun corruption and learning and capacity to deliver transformation.

Our History

Exam Ethics Marshals International (EEMI), started as Exam Ethics Project, was founded in Nigeria in 1996 by Ike Onyechere, MFR, in response to the need to inspire ethics-friendly education stakeholders to bond and work together to promote best practices in education and facilitate quality education systems capable of producing citizens with character, learning and capacity to deliver transformation.

Our Core Doctrine

The core doctrine of the Exam Ethics Marshal Movement since 1996 is “it starts with me”. The most important contribution of the Marshal is to adhere strictly to the code of ethical self regulation and discipline in his or her duty post. Only then can the Marshal summon the moral authority to insist on best practices from other stakeholders as well as act as a model and mentor to pupils and students. The Marshal Movement is, first and foremost, about what you are doing, what I am doing as a Marshal.

Our Structure

The International secretariat of Exam Ethics Marshals is in Abuja Nigeria. The Movement operates national, regional, state and institutional chapters. The Project is implemented under inter-agency, multi-stakeholder collaboration format with the support and facilitation of diverse range of stakeholders including: Governments; Education Ministries, Agencies and Institutions; Public and Private Sector Organizations; Anti-Corruption and Multilateral Agencies; etc
